  4. Protection against wind. The strength of the wind in the mountains can range from an unpleasant cold draft that comes from the nearest glacier — to a violent hurricane with very low temperatures and snow. The wind is something that can radically change your travel plans, and even completely disrupt it.
  5. The negative impact of the sun on a person in the mountains is much stronger than on the valley.
